Ingredients

¾ cup all-purpose fl our
⅓ cup unsweetened Dutch-processed
cocoa powder
½ cup light or dark brown sugar
Pinch of salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room
temperature
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 



Method

1. Combine the flour, cocoa, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a food processor
(or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment) and pulse several times to mix thoroughly. 


2. Drop in the butter by the tablespoon, and pulse to create a crumbly mixture. With the food processor running, drizzle in the milk and vanilla until the mixture starts to stick together
to form a dough, about 1 minute.
